We would like to invite you to join us for the 2008 Familiarization Tour in China. The tour will start right after the 2008 Beijing Olympic in September which the whole world got familiar and experience with China‘s overall environment and its tourism quality had improved to a higher level.

Zhongkun Travel proudly presented two of our China highlighted tours: The Silk Road Tour and the Cultural Immersion Tour. The Silk Road was the most important connection between the East and West before the discovery of the sea route to the West. The great part of the Silk Road Threads its way through Xinjiang, ancient travelers left behind many historical records and invaluable relics. The Cultural Immersion Tour visit the world heritages sites of Hong Village, where the famous movie, “Crouching Tiger , and Hidden Dragon” was filmed, and many amazing sites in Beijing, Hanzhou, Suzhou, and Shanghai.

The hotels, Local transportation, meals and all admission tickets will be included in the package. The Silk Road FAM Tour

Itinerary

Departure: September 4, 2008

Total days: 13

# of People: 16-20

 

From : Los Angeles - Beijing - Urumqi - Kashi - Urumqi - Turpan - Dunhuang - Xian – Shanghai,Back to Los Angeles

Day 1: on the flight;

 

Day 2: Beijing: Arrive at Beijing. Tour the Beijing Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City or choose your own Olympic Venues.

 

Day 3: Urumqi: Flight to Urumqi; Tour the Tianchi Lake, led by local kirghiz or Kazakh herdsmen local families.

 

Day 4: Urumqi-Hetian: After breakfast, tour the Mummies that displayed at the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum. In the afternoon, flight to Hetian.

 

Day 5: Hetian: Tour the hand-make carpet factory, silk factory, and ride camels through the desert. Tour a mosque in the desert and more ancient Silk Road relics.

 

Day 6: Hetian-Kashgar: After breakfast, tour the Amannisha Khan’s tomb in Kashgar “the pearl of the Ancient Silk Road”. Visit The Id Kah mosque, the Historic Street, high platform, craftsmen residence, and arts and crafts factory.

 

Day 7: Kashgar-Urumqi: After breakfast, tour the Abakh Khoja tomb and the famous Sunday Market Bazaar. Flight back to Urumqi.

 

Day 8: Urumqi-Turpan-Dunhuan: Transfer to Turpan and tour the Jiaohe Ruins, Gaochang Ruins,the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda. Take train to Dunhuan.

 

Day 9: Dunhuang: Dunhuang was the hub of middle and eastern silk routes in the ancient times. Tour the Famous Mogao Caves.

 

Day 10: Xian: After lunch, Tour the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Show performances features The Dynasty Dance & Music Show at night.

 

Day 11: Xian-Shanghai: Tour the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy the famous Dumplings for lunch. After lunch, take a flight to Shanghai.

 

Day 12: Shanghai: Tour the Oriental Pearl Tower, The Bund, Nanjing Road, People’s Square and Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a cruise tour on The Huangpu River. A memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic show at the Shanghai Center Theatre.

 

Day 13: Depart from Shanghai, China back to USA

 

 

 

Cultural Immersion in Southern China FAM Trip

From: Los Angeles – Beijing –Hongcun- Huangshan –Hangzhou-Suzhou – Shanghai,Back toLos Angeles

 

D1: Los Angels-Beijing: Our group departs US for Beijing.

 

D2: Beijing: We arrive at Beijing. See nest, water square and other Olympic Venues, we will visit Tianan Men Square and Other Beijing relics.

 

D3: Beijing-Hongcun Villages: Depart Beijing airport for a one hour flight to Tunxi (Huangshan City) and transfer by bus to Hongcun, which is known as the village in Chinese culture.

 

D4: Honcun Villages: Visit the world heritage sites of Hongcun Village.Visit the famous movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" filmed locations—Nanping, Guanlu.

 

D5: Huangshan Mountain: Travel to the summit by cable car. The Huang Mountains are famous because of its peculiar and beautiful landscape. Every direction offers a unique view as can be gathered from the scenic by imaginations.

 

D6: Huangshan-Hangzhou: Enjoy the excellent sights of Xin’an river, and then cruise the Qiandao Lake (Thousands islands lake), which is the first beauty in China, and then we will go to Hangzhou, “a paradise on earth.”

 

D7: Hangzhou-Suzhou: After breakfast, visit West Lake by boat (excluding the island), walk on Sudi, visit Santanyinyue, ruandunhuanbi, Huxinting, Gushanyanyu… such as the West Lake Scenic Spots. and then travel to Suzhou.

 

D8: Suzhou: Accompanied by a local garden scholar, we’ll visit to two of Suzhou’s most famous gardens dating from the Ming Dynasty, both outstanding examples of the art of fine gardening south of the Yangzi River.

 

D9: Suzhou-Shanghai: Travel to Shanghai by bus (approx 1hour). Enjoy a city tour including the old town Chenghuangmiao and the newly built Xintiandi mall in the old French Concession area.

 

D10: Shanghai-Los Angeles: Passengers on the group flight will transfer to Shanghai airport. Arrive in Los Angeles at noon the same day.
