China’s greatest wonder is its culture and tradition, particularly in the south of the Yangzi River, a region centered around Hangzhou. In the 13th century, Marco Polo called Hangzhou “a paradise on earth.” Since that time the Southern region has led China in cultural innovation and sophistication. Through this journey you will be able to explore the attractions, including China's most famous modern civilization super metropolis Beijing, Shanghai and the most famous symbol of ancient culture of China--Hangzhou, Suzhou, as well as the preservation of integrity of the most famous China Ancient village--Hongcun village. The trip will be a memorable experience of your closest contact with Chinese culture.

 

 

Hongcun Village is an outstanding representative of Huizhou China traditional local culture, building techniques and landscape design. The structure is elegant and blends closely with nature. It creates a scientific living environment, which is also full of affection. Its one outstanding representative of China's traditional domestic houses. The peaceful environment and beautiful surroundings present outsiders a pleasing and tranquil picture of a typical country life in South China. Hongcun Village is where the film Crouching Tiger, and Hidden Dragon was filmed. Because of the unique architectural features, It was named as the world's cultural heritage of The United Nations.

 

Day by Day Itinerary

D1: Los Angels – Beijing

Our group departs US for Beijing.

 

 

D2: Beijing

We arrive at Beijing. See nest, water square and other Olympic Venues, we will visit Tianan Men Square and Other Beijing relics.

 

 

D3: Beijing—Hongcun Villages

Depart Beijing airport for a one hour flight to Tunxi (Huangshan City) and transfer by bus to Hongcun, which is known as the village in Chinese culture.

 

 

D4: Honcun Villages

Visit the world heritage sites of Hongcun Village.Visit the famous movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" filmed locations—Nanping, Guanlu.

 

 

D5: Huangshan Mountains

Travel to the summit by cable car. The Huang Mountains are famous because of its peculiar and beautiful landscape. Every direction offers a unique view as can be gathered from the scenic by imaginations.

 

 

D6:Huangshan –Hangzhou

Enjoy the excellent sights of Xin’an river, and then cruise the Qiandao Lake (Thousands islands lake), which is the first beauty in China, and then we will go to Hangzhou, “a paradise on earth.”

 

 

D7: Hangzhou—Suzhou

After breakfast, visit West Lake by boat (excluding the island), walk on Sudi, visit Santanyinyue, ruandunhuanbi, Huxinting, Gushanyanyu… such as the West Lake Scenic Spots. and then travel to Suzhou.

 

D8: Suzhou

Accompanied by a local garden scholar, we’ll visit to two of Suzhou’s most famous gardens dating from the Ming Dynasty, both outstanding examples of the art of fine gardening south of the Yangzi River.

 

 

D9: Suzhou –Shanghai

Travel to Shanghai by bus(approx 1hour). Enjoy a city tour including the old town Chenghuangmiao and the newly built Xintiandi mall in the old French Concession area.

 

 

D10: Shanghai – Los Angeles

Passengers on the group flight will transfer to Shanghai airport. Arrive in Los Angeles at noon the same day.
