History Discovery in Ancient Silk Road in China
Ancient Silk Road 13 day tour Year 2008
Sweden great explorer Sven Hedin said: "The world has a long history, vast, self-made systems, and far-reaching impact on the cultural system only four: China, India, Greece, Islam, no fifth, and the four the convergence of local cultural system there is only one, and that is to Dunhuang to Kashgar in China since the ancient civilizations Central Taklimakan area, and no second. "
Before the discovery of the sea route to India, the Silk Road was the most important connection between the East and West. It experienced its last great era during the time of the Mongol Empire. This ancient trade route starts in the old capitals of Xian ( then called Chang'an). The Road took traders westward into the Hexi Corridor with its mountains and deserts. Ancient travelers left behind many historical records and invaluable relics. The great part of the Silk Road threads its way through Xinjiang. It divides into separate ways through Xinjiang region via Turpan, Urumqi, Korla until reaching Kashgar, the final point in China. Trips along the Road are a feast to the eyes and it abounds with fascinating historical records and priceless relics.
At the same time, with the spreading of various religions in the world range, more and more missionaries reached to the east in succession by this road. With the Silk Road acting as an information superhighway, the exchange of ideas grew to a larger scale than ever before. And as a result, the Tang dynasty fortunately experienced the best flourishing period of the Silk Road.
Since then, the prosperous Silk Road was on its downhill. The bustling streets, wealthy cities and solid ramparts now were submerged in the vast desert, and today, people can only trace their splendid history in the endless ruins and remains.
